  • Bloat
  • Any other rapid decline in health that concerns you.

No appointment is necessary.

We take patients in the order that they arrive however we do triage patients based on severity of illness or injury.  The most severe conditions take priority.  Our team will inform you if any significant wait time is expected. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open.  If you feel you have an emergency, please call us and come to the hospital immediately.  If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Established in 2003 the Pet Emergency Center continues to provide quality emergency care for communities in Western Montana.  Serving pet owners and referring veterinarians we provide the confidence that your pets are receiving exceptional medical treatment.  Specializing in after-hours emergencies, we also provide around-the-clock critical care patient monitoring after your veterinarian's office has closed for the day.

Our advanced technology and well trained staff provide the necessary tools to treat your pet.  Here are just a few of the Gold Standard services that we offer:

Communication:

We work with all veterinary clinics.  We communicate directly with your regular veterinarian by sending the patient record, all doctor notes, blood work results, x-rays and more to your regular veterinary clinic for follow up care.  Your veterinarian can call us with questions about our findings and treatment.  We strive to be a seamless extension of the quality services your regular veterinarian provides.

Specialty Consultation

If your pet requires consultation or treatment by an Internal Medicine Specialist, we can advise a consultation with Missoula Veterinary Specialty Clinic.  If your pet requires other specialty care for surgery, CT/MRI, or consultation with additional specialists our team will help facilitate those needs as well.

Payments

Pet Emergency Center accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express and Care Credit.  We require that payment be made at the time services are rendered so that we can continue to provide high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies.

Emergency care can be expensive.  We are transparent and honest about costs.  We will provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time.  There is often more than one option for treatment and we can tailor our treatment plan to match your budget.
