About Us
Pet Emergency Center is a busy 24-hour animal emergency hospital that has been serving Missoula and the surrounding area since 2003. Pet Emergency Center is locally owned. We have been in our custom veterinary hospital since May 2023. We love the open, light and inviting space; it is a great place to work!
We are a fully equipped hospital with an in-house lab, digital radiology, oxygen cages, ventilator, ultrasound, endoscope, and all the bells and whistles you would expect from an emergency hospital. We practice high quality medicine and surgery because our talented and dedicated team cares!

Pet Emergency Center Positions
Customer Support Representative
Customer Support Representatives welcome clients and their pets. They:
- Warmly greet and interact with clients
- Handle phone calls with professionalism and courtesy
- Check in patients
- Communicate with clients via texting platform
- Scan and email patient records
- Clean exam rooms
- Communicate with staff members about incoming patients
Veterinary Assistants
Vet Assistants work with clients, pets, vet techs and doctors in the back of the hospital. They:
- Check in patients with warmth and compassion
- Gather patient history, vital signs, and relevant patient information
- Gently restrain pets for diagnostics or treatments
- Communicate with doctors and Vet Techs
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Discharge patients
- Kindly communicate with clients about their pets
- Clean exam rooms, and help keep the treatment area, and ICU clean
Certified Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Technician
Vet Techs help keep the doctors and staff on track. They:
- Warmly interact with clients and pets throughout a pet’s stay
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments and surgical procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Monitor animal patients pre- and post-operatively and in our ICU
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Provide kind, timely, and informative and client communication
- Supervise Veterinary Assistants
- Help keep the hospital clean
